a {time} to be...

This past week has been a week to be - to be away from my everyday schedule and routines that normally take up my everyday life. Starting off with our trip to North Carolina for Memorial Day weekend -leading into a "free" trip that was offered to us to Panama City Beach Florida.

We headed up to North Carolina last Friday for the weekend with great friends! We went to the pool everyday, drank wine coolers, did smores by the fire, and all the girls had a great time watching funny video's and doing a lot of laughing enjoying each others company.

We spent 3 days there, and then headed home, to where we were offered a free stay down in Panama City Beach at someone's hotel who had to leave on emergency and we got their hotel room for 3 nights and 4 days on the beach to finish off our vacation week.

We got here Wednesday night and here I am, writing from the beautiful hotel on Panama Beach. I took this photo above when we first got here.. beautiful emerald waters with white sand! Not the beach we are used to on the East Coast.

We return home Sunday morning to where I will go to church and end my vacation in the best way I know how; through God's love to thank him for the wonderful week I have been blessed with.

"a time to be" is something that my therapist has really helped me to learn to do for myself! It's not often that I have time to myself, and when I do, I don't know how to care for myself without putting others first.

When I had session last Friday we talked about this week for me.. staying in connection - to myself and others - and taking this week to just BE for myself.

My therapist wrote me this beautiful POEM / email  reminding me about my work in healing, our work on this journey, and the path going forward ... it was very connecting and all about the hard work in the past couple of weeks - I was touched - and reminded about the word {dance} that is still written waiting to be honored.

So here I am, at the beach for another 2 days and I am enjoying this time to be! I am connected and actually am starting to feel and allow this time to be .... and I love that I am sitting here writing about it.

Tonight I will take photos of my boys on the beach at sunset.. we will walk the beach together, and tomorrow spend another day at the beach together soaking it in before we head home and back to my normal everyday routines - but for now, I love this time to be... and I love I am writing about it.
